Swaroop Sampat was born on 3 November 1958. She is an actress who had appeared and acted in many Hindi films. She was crowned Miss India in the year 1979 and represented Miss Universe pageant in the same year. She started her showbiz career by doing numerous modelling. She became a household name with comedy series Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi. She acted in films like Naram Garam(1981), Nakhuda(1981), Himmatwala(1983), Karishma (1984), Uri: The Surgical Strike(2019). She was selected as Top Ten finalist of Global Teacher Prize. She is a trainer and teacher who conducted a workshop for poor and disabled children.
